About

The Greater Richmond Workforce Services Directory is a comprehensive resource designed for recruitment professionals and human resource staff. It includes over 1,000 service providers who directly impact employer strategies for building and retaining a skilled workforce.

GRWorkforce.com is a searchable online database that provides direct links to each resource as well as advice columns focusing on subjects such as e-media and immigration.

It is important to develop a strong workforce community and create an environment where businesses can thrive. A skilled labor pool provides businesses an incentive to expand and relocate. This same labor pool will need solid business opportunities that can benefit from their training and skill sets.

We would like to thank the partners who continue to support the development and innovation of this valuable resource: The Richmond Human Resource Management Association and the Community College Workforce Alliance.

From The Partners...

The Greater Richmond Chamber, the Community College Workforce Alliance and the Richmond Human Resource Management Association are proud to offer the 2009 Workforce Services Directory - a comprehensive resource designed for recruitment professionals and human resource staff. We believe that the mutual support, through the sharing of resources, expertise and time have produced a superior service for the community that could not have been accomplished by working separately.

As the fabric of work continues to change and evolve with globalization, the key strategic component for any company is their workforce. In a recent comprehensive regional report of business, political and community leaders, 108 of 110 interviewed said finding and retaining talented workers was the number one issue facing their organization over the next five years. This new edition of the directory is part of a continuous effort to meet that community need and remains free to the public. It has been developed as a single source tool to aid employers in recruiting, developing and retaining a qualified workforce.

Our long term success is ultimately tied to our ability to attract jobs and supply a diverse and skilled workforce. It is our hope that this directory, with its robust information base, is a useful tool that becomes a significant contribution to that effort.

Sincerely,
