The purpose of the Richmond Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court is to provide an independent forum to: (1) resolve juvenile and domestic relations disputes and other legal matters in a fair, efficient, and effective manner; and (2) to protect the rights of all parties before the Court.
CCC provides counseling services to victims and children who have experienced domestic violence. In addition, CCC works to break the cycle of violence by offering certified Batterer Intervention Group Counseling.
The professional staff studies and evaluates prevention programs and provides training and technical assistance in program issues and organizational development. Signature programs of Prevent Child Abuse Virginia include: Healthy Families Virginia, Hugs & Kisses, Nurturing Programs, Circle of Parents, Family Resource Center, and The Training Institute. Prevent Child Abuse Virginia is committed to providing high-quality training and leadership development for professionals, volunteers, partner organizations and communities.
Through the use of carefully trained volunteers from the Metro-Richmond area, the program serves as an extension of the Richmond Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, providing an advocate in order to expedite a child's placement into a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.
