The Daily Planet, Inc. provides dental care for uninsured and underinsured individuals. Walk-ins are accepted.
Donated Dental Services provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to permanently disabled, medically compromised, or individuals over age 62. Eligible applicants must be unable to afford dental care and be ineligible for public aid for such care.
The East End Clinic of the Henrico County Health Department provides dental services on a sliding scale fee according to ability to pay. Appointments are required.
The West End Clinic of the Henrico County Health Department provides dental services on a sliding scale fee according to ability to pay. Appointments are required.
Kool Smiles is a network of local dental offices dedicated to expanding access to quality dental care for children and families in underserved communities. Kool Smiles provides preventative care, diagnostic imaging and a full range of restorative care supported with electronic health records.
Instituted through the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), Smiles for Children is a program that provides dental services to children enrolled in FAMIS and FAMIS Plus. There are no costs or co-payments for dental care. For a complete listing of dental specialists in Richmond who participate in the program contact DMAS.
The Virginia Department of Health provides dental services to pre-school and school age children who meet eligibility requirements. Eligibility for these services may be determined by school lunch status and/or family income. Adult care may be available on a limited basis in certain localities.
