ChildSavers is a private nonprofit, community-based agency that is committed to improving the quality of life for children. This goal is achieved through outpatient mental health services, case management, and an array of prevention services focused on the prevention of child abuse and the improvement of the area's childcare resources.
The goal of Richmond?s Early Childhood Development Initiative is for all Richmond children under the age of five to be healthy, well-cared for and ready to succeed in school.
The mission of FRIENDS is to help children and families achieve their potential and become more productive citizens.
Success By 6®, the Regional Partnership for Early Childhood Development, brings together the power of the business, local governments, schools, and not for profit communities to work toward the goal that all children, birth to age six are healthy, well-cared for, and ready to succeed in school. The Success By 6 Partnership advocates for public policy that supports young children and families; builds capacity by enhancing the quality and quantity of programs for families with young children; and communicates to raise awareness about the issue. Success By 6 is staffed by a joint venture of United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg and the Greater Richmond Chamber, utilizing their respective strengths to address early childhood development issues.
